Master Teachers 



Every semester the Theatre Program invites guest artists from the professional theatre to visit the program as Master Teachers and to demonstrate their expertise by working in productions alongside our students as directors, designers, actors, and craftspeople.  In the fourth year students at Harlow are taught by members of the professional theatre in England.


Guest Artists have included:

Louise Gauthier Toronto-based actor who has performed all over the country with companies such as Magnus Theatre, Drayton Productions, Three Planks and a Passion of Nova Scotia, Cercle Moliere of Manitoba and National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
Stephen Drover BC-based director (and graduate of the theatre program), Steve was artistic associate with Theatre Newfoundland Labrador and is now artistic director of Pound of Flesh Theatre
Nancy Beatty Ontario-based actress, a multiple winner of Toronto’s prestigious Dora Award for outstanding performance by an actress in a leading role and Gemini award winning performance in Life with Billy.
Donna Butt Artistic Director, Rising Tide Theatre.
Jerry Etienne Artistic Director, The Atlantic Theatre Festival; Artistic Director, Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador.
Denise Ferguson Leading actress, director, teacher, long time member of the Stratford Festival and the Charlottetown Festival; most recently with Soul Pepper Theatre in Toronto.
Martin Kinch Founding Artistic Director, Toronto Free Theatre;  Artistic Director Theatre Calgary;  Head of CBC Drama; screen writer, playwright
John Farwell With an MFA from the University of Alberta, has designed for major theatres in Western Canada and served as Technical Director of the Atlantic Theatre Festival for two years.
Natalie Morin Quebec based dancer and choreographer.  International tours with Montreal’s acclaimed O’Vertigo Dance Company. 
Peter Wight Leading actor with Britain’s Royal National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company.  Extensive featured roles in films (Mike Leigh’s Naked) and television series (Out of the Blue)
Andrew Bridgmont London based actor, leading roles at Shakespeare’s Globe and in the West End in An Inspector Calls.
Felix Mirbt Master puppeteer; director, National Arts Centre.
Shawn Kerwin Award winning Canadian designer has designed for the Canadian Opera Company, Vancouver Playhouse, Stratford, Shaw, Factory and Tarragon.  Professor of design, York University.
