Memorial University's Summer Bridging Program will be offered at Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook from August 12 to 23, 2013. Any Newfoundland and Labrador student who misses the MUN admission requirements by five per cent or less - that is, a high school graduating average between 65 and 70 per cent in courses required for admission - is eligible to apply.
Students who successfully complete the program will be admitted to Memorial University in September at the campus of their choice.
When compared to a sample of students who entered Memorial with a 70%, the Summer Bridging students compare very favourably on a number of measures of academic performance including: number of courses taken, number of courses passed, grade average and academic standing at the end of semester. Furthermore, these students reported that they enjoyed the program and found it very useful.
