 Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering can be an important and rewarding experience – not only for you, but also for those organizations with whom you choose to devote your time. While helping others, volunteers are presented with the opportunity to learn important life skills, such as communication, presentation, leadership and teamwork skills. Volunteering enhances personal development, as it helps individuals gain confidence and self-esteem, and exercise leadership, problem-solving and creativity. Volunteering is an excellent way to improve your resume, and volunteer experience is a requirement for acceptance into numerous academic programs, including education, social work and medical school.
