Sociology is a social science which is concerned with the description, understanding and explanation of the social behaviour of individuals and of the structures and processes of society. At Grenfell Campus, it is one of the constituent disciplines in the Social/Cultural Studies Program.
A December 3, 2008 news release provides an example of an innovative learning assignment in Sociology, an assignment in which a student learned to understand the concept of social "rules" by breaking a set of social expectations.
