The PSYCHOLOGY SOCIETY is a student-run organization. Fundraising activities allow the society to:
- Host socials with psychology professors
- Organize graduation festivities
- Plan psychology-related events
The Psychology Society has three main goals:
- Spread awareness about mental health and decrease the stigmas surrounding mental health issues.
- Give back to mental health issues in the community through fundraising.
- Cater to students at Grenfell Campus through fun events and fundraisers.
The Psychology Society meets in the Dem Room once a week. We are always looking for new members and volunteers! It’s a great way to meet other students, interact with professors, and get involved in campus life.
The Dem Room (AS 348) is a meeting place for all psychology students. Feel free to use this space to:
- Work on your courses
- Use the computers and other psychology resources
- Socialize with other psychology students
- Stay informed by reading relevant notices posted on dem room boards

Welcome to the Psych Society web page! My name is Jessica Dawe and I am a fourth year student completing my B.Sc (Hons) in Psychology. I am primarily interested in developmental and clinical psychology. I am also a human rights activist and a full time nerd.
You can usually find me scurrying to class, studying in the dem room (AS 348) or in the library. I am always up for a chat and welcome any new ideas or initiatives for the Psychology Society to take on.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me through email or just chat with me in the hallway. I look forward to meeting you all and I can’t wait to work together this year!
I'm a psychology student in my last year of my B.Sc. Psychology (Hons.). I may be in my final year, but I'm relatively new to the Grenfell community! I spent my first three years of my degree at MUN in St. John's and since I've moved here I've found my own little niche on campus with the Psych Society!
After being a general member, I have fallen in love with the society and I am now the society's secretary! I'm responsible for the minutes from our weekly meetings and helping out the President and Vice President.
Aside from school and work, I spend most of my time doing photography and watching countless hours of YouTube and Netflix (Because really, what else is there to do?).
This year I hope that myself and all of the society's members can continue to spread awareness about mental illness and reduce the stigmas surrounding it.

I'm a fourth year student completing my B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology. Although psychology in general is awesome, my main interest is in clinical psychology. Non-academically, I enjoy powerlifting and playing guitar.
As a social media rep, I'll be spreading the word about Psych Society news, events, and other relevant information through various modes of social media. We will be posting some awesome stuff to our new YouTube channel, "Grenfell Psychology Society", so subscribe and check that out.
Feel free to approach me to chat, ask questions, or voice your concerns. I look forward to another awesome year at Grenfell!

I recently graduated with a B.A in Psychology and a minor in french. I just started the fast track Education program here at Grenfell!
I love developmental psychology, and I'm hoping to use both my Psychology degree and my Education degree to work towards being a Special Education teacher.
I joined then Psych Society during my 4th year and decided that while staying at Grenfell I would continue. This year I am taking on the role of treasurer and looking forward to a new year with everyone!
I am a third year Psychology major, with a minor in Philosophy. This is my second year with the Psych Society, and I am currently the vice-president. If I go into post-secondary for Psychology, I hope to study counselling to help people struggling with depression. Otherwise, I may go into law.
I enjoy an awful lot of things, so it's hard to really make a blurb. My biggest (also lamest) interest would definitely be video games, but I also love most of the arts: music, painting, writing, you name it. I'm actually interested in pretty much anything you can study at university, and I really like to see how they all connect to each other.
