Teaching Interests

I primarily teach courses with a clinical psychology focus, which includes Contemporary Issues in Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Death and Dying, and Tests and Measurements. I also teach Introduction to Psychology, Systems in Psychology, Senior Seminar in Psychology, and Independent Projects in Psychology. I supervise up to two honours students each year.

Research Interests

My area of specialty is clinical psychology. Under that broad domain, I have conducted research in the areas of grief, loss, trauma, and resilience. I have explored the impact of grief and loss on parenting, resulting in a clinical guide for working with bereaved parents. I am also interested in university teaching and research methodology and have published papers in both areas.
