 Admission Modes & Requirements

Business Minor

Students completing a minor in Business must declare their intent to do so on Grenfell's DECLARATION/CHANGE OF ACADEMIC PROGRAM form, which then must be approved by the Chair of the Business Program. This form is available at the Office of the Registrar or online at www.grenfell.mun.ca/registrar/Pages/Forms.aspx.

Bachelor of Business Administration

Students may gain admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Grenfell via one of three modes:

  1. Direct Entry (for High School Students)

Students may apply for admission into the BBA program directly from high school by indicating this in the appropriate place on their Undergraduate Application for Admission/Readmission to Memorial University of Newfoundland. This form is available at the Office of the Registrar or online at www.grenfell.mun.ca/registrar/Pages/Forms.aspx.

Direct admission from high school is subject to the applicant’s final acceptance to the University.

  2. Advanced Standing (for Current Memorial University of Newfoundland Students)

Current Memorial University of Newfoundland students should select the BBA program on Grenfell's DECLARATION/CHANGE OF ACADEMIC PROGRAM form, which must then be signed by the Business Program Chair. This form is available at the Office of the Registrar or online at www.grenfell.mun.ca/registrar/Pages/Forms.aspx.

  3. Transfers from Other Post-Secondary Institutions

Students who are transferring from other post-secondary institutionsmust apply for admission to the University on or before the deadlines specified in the University Diary for the semester in which they intend to begin their program, to allow sufficient time for the evaluation of transfer credits. The acceptance of transfer students into the BBA program is subject to the same conditions outlined under Advanced Standing (for Current Memorial University of Newfoundland Students) above.

Graduates of a community college business diploma program may also be considered for admission with advanced standing into the BBA program. To be eligible for the Degree of Bachelor of Business Administration such students will be required to complete a minimum of 45 credit hours from Memorial University. Specific course requirements will be determined on an individual basis at the time of admission.
