Objectives

To offer easy access for faculty/staff to research information.
To provide information with respect to research grant application.
To provide advice and to work in tandem with faculty and staff with respect to specific research grant applications.
To provide a room for faculty/staff to access print and databank sources of research information.
To assist faculty/staff in efforts to secure grant money.
To assist SWGC as an institution in developing and articulating a research plan.
To assist faculty/staff at SWGC in applied research grant applications.
To market the Applied Research Unit (ARU) in the larger community as a means for accessing SWGC expertise and resources in doing applied research projects.
To assist SWGC in developing an ethics framework and protocol for research.
To represent and to be an advocate for the needs of SWGC with respect to research efforts at the Office of Research, St. John's campus and within the university at large.
