Grenfell College: Part of the Memorial Family 

Grenfell College is the west coast campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), and was established in 1975. In 1979, it was named Sir Wilfred Grenfell College honoring the memory of the renowned medical missionary. 

In addition, Memorial University, the largest university in Atlantic Canada, also has the following campuses or geographically distinct units:
 - St. John’s campus of Memorial University 
 - Marine Institute
 - Harlow, England
 - Frecker program in St. Pierre, (a French island off the south coast of NF)
 - Labrador Institute

St. John’s Campus

Memorial’s St. John’s campus is attended by about 19,000 full- and part-time undergraduate and graduate students, offering areas of study such as arts, business administration, education, engineering, maritime studies, medicine, music, nursing, pharmacy, physical education, sciences and social work.

Marine Institute

In 1992 the Marine Institute joined the university, becoming the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University. Founded in 1964, the institute offers a range of programs in fisheries and marine technology and is involved in research and technology transfer.

Harlow, England

Memorial University of Newfoundland's Campus at Old Harlow, Essex, is midway between London and Cambridge. The Campus consists of a group of 19th century and older buildings.

St. Pierre   

Every fall, the French Department offers a one-semester immersion program in Saint-Pierre. Students take a full five-course program in French at the 2000 level and live with a French family. Courses are taught at the Francoforum, a dedicated language training centre situated in the town of Saint-Pierre.

Labrador Institute

The Labrador Institute of Northern Studies was established in the late 1970s and was renamed the Labrador Institute of Memorial University in 1997. The institute’s principal aim is to provide a link between the community and the university while meeting the educational needs of the region, promoting community development, outreach services and region-specific research.
