Financial aid/Scholarships
International undergraduate students are not eligible for financial aid (student loans or bursaries) from the Canadian or Newfoundland governments. Before coming to Canada, students should secure sufficient funds to finance their education and living expenses.
Memorial University offers entrance scholarships for international students in the amounts of $1000, $2000 and $3000 each (Canadian dollars). Applicants are automatically considered for these scholarships and successful students will be notified once selections have been made.
Once you are a student at Memorial, you may be eligible for a variety of scholarships. These financial awards are granted on the basis of academic achievement, financial need or both.
Getting a job on campus
If you are studying full-time at Memorial and hold a valid study permit, you may be eligible to work on campus. To obtain information about available jobs and to find out if you are eligible to work while you are a student at Grenfell, visit our Student Affairs office early each semester.
