Health Services
In 1998, a group of nurses from the faculty of Western Regional School of Nursing started a Wellness Center on an in-kind bases at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in response to a lack of health care resources on campus. A small number of baccalaureate nursing students rotate through the center as part of their clinical learning experiences. Over the past five years faculty and students have conducted preliminary research that has identified the health needs and learning preferences of the college student aggregate that they serve.
A local physician provides a one-half day clinic/week to students of Sir Wilfred Grenfell College.
