Library Services

At the beginning of their first year, students are given an orientation to Western Health’s Health Sciences Library and its services, including: accessing electronic resources, checking out materials, using reserves and making interlibrary loans. The Health Sciences Library has a collection of approximately 4000 medical, nursing and allied health textbooks and 200 print journals. It has a student computer lab, two photocopiers and study areas. Students have access to the Grenfell Campus Library photocopiers and study areas. Students also have access to the Grenfell Campus Library and to all the electronic resources available through the Memorial University Library system.

Nursing students have access to the following libraries:

• Western Health Care Corporation's Health Science Library, located in Western Memorial Regional Hospital
• The Ferris Hodgett Library located at Grenfell Campus.
• The Queen Elizabeth II Library and the Health Sciences Library located on the Memorial University campus in St. John's (Inter-library loans are available).
