Co-Ordinators Message
The Research Unit at Western Regional School of Nursing promotes an environment that facilitates and supports research, research utilization and other scholarship activities. Our Research Coordinator plays the lead role in working with faculty and students to move the collective research agenda of the western region forward over the next five to ten years.
The Research Unit was established in 2006 to promote an environment that facilitates and supports research and other scholarship activities. It houses information on journals’ publication guidelines, funding opportunities, conferences, calls for abstracts and proposals, and ethical review protocols. The Research Coordinator is available to assist with obtaining information and working with faculty and students on research initiatives.

Our Research unit was established in 2006. The Strategic Plan for Research has been designed to promote and enhance research capacity within the Western Regional School of Nursing and as well as the Western Region of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Interprofessional Education
The Centre for Collaborative Health Professional Education (CCHPE) at Memorial University of Newfoundland developed an Interprofessional Education (IPE) Project, Collaborating for Education and Practice: An Interprofessional Education (IPE) Strategy for Newfoundland and Labrador Project. The overall goal of the IPE Project was to expand and promote interprofessional education activities in both education and practice settings for health professional students at Memorial University.
