Western Regional School of Nursing is located in beautiful Corner Brook, on the west coast of Newfoundland. Through partnerships with Western Health, Memorial University, and Center for Nursing Studies, we offer a unique way to complete a nursing degree. We offer a four-year program that aims to prepare nurses to meet the challenges of health care today and into the future. In addition, the fast-track option, which began in 2002, allows students with an undergraduate degree or advance standing to complete a BN degree in two years of concentrated study. The fast track option was introduced in response to an increased demand for nursing graduates.

This nursing degree, granted by Memorial University of Newfoundland will prepare you for work in private and public sectors world wide. As a nurse, you will be part of the largest group of health care professionals in Canada. The men and women who have chosen this dynamic career are employed everywhere from hospitals and community, to universities, cruise ships and industrial workplaces. What you need to know is that nurses are in demand world wide and the projected nursing shortage creates endless possibilities for employment. Our program will prepare you to meet the challenging needs of dynamic health care systems locally, provincially, nationally and internationally.
