Service
This is an optional service that students can opt out of when they pick up their residence keys.
All charges for long distance in residence will be billed to each individuals extension number in their room, thus each student is responsible for any charges incurred on their individual extension number.
Bills will be distributed by the housing office through internal mail at the end of every month.
Charges will be added to the individuals student account and are payable at the bursars office.
Students in residence must agree to have long distance set up on their phones. Students can do this at the Housing Office. Once your long distance has been set up by a member of Computing and Communications, you dial 9, then 1 709, and then the # you require.
Cost for calls in Canada and U.S.A are 12 cents per minute, 24 hours per day.
International cost varies by destination, and are subject to variations in costs from our supplier at any instant in time. Examples of current costs per minute any time of day to some destinations are shown below as examples, and could vary slightly at any time.
