Faculty & Staff Wireless Access
To use wireless on campus, you need to have a Grenfell computing account. If you do not already have an account, please click here .
Faculty and Staff can request guest wireless accounts for people visiting the campus. The accounts are active for 3 days only. Guests cannot print to any printers on campus or access the Grenfell network unless they have a computer account. To sponser a guest for wireless access, please complete the Guest Account Form .
Wireless Tips:
To find your MAC address to register a device (on the wireless account form):
- Click on Start | Run
- Type in " cmd " without the quotes
- Type in " ipconfig /all " without the quotes
- Look for the wireless adapter and you need the Physical Address. It will look similar to this: 00-16-41-92-26-CB
Connection Problems:
A common connection problem with wireless is laptops with Antivirus/Internet Protection packages installed (such as Norton). If you cannot see the FAC network, disable the Antivirus/Internet Protection services to see if this resolves your issue.
