To request a new computing account, complete the new account request form and bring it to the Help Desk located in the Pool Viewing Area (AS367).
If filling out the form for an employee that hasn't yet started, we will not give out the password until the new employee signs off on the account request form.

Change Your Password
When you receive a computer account, you are assigned a password. This password is your responsibility, is used for all computer access (including e-mail), and can be changed at any time.
To prevent others from guessing your password, you should:
- mix letters and numbers
- make it more than 4 or 5 characters
- change it regularly
- Enter a new password and press TAB
- Re-enter the password again and select OK
- A confirmation message will appear - select OK
Locking your computer
If you are logged on to a computer and leave it unattended, someone can change your password and prevent you from accessing the system. Therefore, it is important to 'LOCK' your computer before you leave to retrieve printing.
To lock your computer (i.e. if you need to retrieve printing)
- Press CTRL + ALT + DEL together
- Select Lock Workstation
To unlock your computer
- Press CTRL + ALT + DEL together
- Supply your password and press ENTER
To change your password
- Press CTRL + ALT + DEL together
- Click on Change Password
- Type in your old password and press TAB
- Type in a new password and press TAB
- Re-enter new password
- Select OK
- A message will appear indicating your password has been changed. Select OK
- At the options window, select Cancel to return you to the system
I have exceeded my profile space and cannot log-off

- Make sure you have no images or documents saved to your desktop. These take up space in your profile. Shortcuts to programs are fine.
- If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, the cache file has grown larger than your profile allows.
To delete the cache:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Select Tools | Internet Options.
- Under the General tab, select the delete files button in the Delete Temporary Internet Files section.
- A small window will appear.
- Select Delete all offline content
- Select OK
- The cache files will start to be removed (this may take a few minutes).
- Select OK
