Research Interests: Dr. Lam’s research interests are in the fields of entrepreneurship, small business management, family business, and regional economic development. He has published articles and case studies on the role of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial traits, venture creation, family business management, and succession process in family firms. His current research includes longevity of family firms, as well as local economic development.

Research Interests: Professor Monteith’s research interests include the rise of the Chinese and Indian economies and their social, financial and economic effects on the international marketplace, especially in terms of the prices of oil, minerals and other commodities, as well as the growing importance of the online marketplace.

Research Interests: Professor Pitcher's current research interests include both the real and perceived costs and benefits of socially responsible corporate behaviour in a society of increasingly discriminating consumers, as well as the role of culture in determining our assessment of what makes a "respectable" brand.

Research Interests: Professor Ryan's research interests have grown out of her professional experiences in the field of international sporting event management and Human Resources Management. She is particularly interested in the challenges that surround recruitment, retention and motivation of the non-paid workforce, as well as optimizing organizational structures for volunteer-based organizations.

Research Interests: Professor Walsh’s research interests relate to her experiences working in senior management roles in small technology firms. She is currently studying the effects of intellectual property laws on the success of small software firms. As well, she is conducting research on optimal models for university-industry collaboration for the commercialization of technology.
