This prize, valued at $100.00, is in memory of Madeline Fowler, whose love of reading was an inspiration to her children. The prize is normally awarded to a senior student majoring in the B.A. in English and engaged in full-time studies at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. The award will be made by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships and Financial Aid on the recommendation of the Programme Chair of English at the College.

 

The University Medal for Academic Excellence in English is given in the graduating year to a candidate for the Bachelor's degree with a major in English who is recommended by the Chair of the English Programme. The award is made by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships and Financial Aid.
