Observatory Tour
Time/Location: Meet Thomas in AS2016 at 8:30pm
Cost: Free
Organized By: Doug Forbes & Darlene English [Grenfell Campus Physics Program]
Details: For those interested in astronomy and the science of outer space, two of Grenfell's physics instructors offer regular tours of the Observatory located in the Arts & Science Extension. The tour will begin with a brief introductory lecture about the study of astronomy, followed by a demonstration of the telescope in the observatory.

***Please Note: When in use, the roof of the observatory opens so that the sky is visible. As such, please bring a coat or an extra layer of clothing, as this can make it somewhat cold inside the observatory. ***

Cost: Free
Organized by: Thomas
Details: Many of you have expressed interest in playing Frisbee again, and with winter fast approaching, this may be one of the last weekends to play it outside. Like last time, we will be playing in the field-area near the Backlot. Don't forget to dress warm just in case! J

Laser Tag
Time/Location: Meet Thomas in the Cafeteria at 3:15pm, so we can walk down to Cyber Zone [6 Commercial St.] from Grenfell
Cost: $10/person
Organized By: Thomas
Details: Laser Tag is an indoor activity in which players compete by shooting at each other with lasers and trying to avoid getting hit themselves. For those of you who are interested in participating, a sign-up sheet will be handed out during the week of Oct. 13-17. During this time, I will also provide you with a more detailed description of how to play Laser Tag.

Additional Notes:

~The owner of Cyber Zone has requested that we be there and ready by 3:45pm. As such, I would like to leave Grenfell no later than 3:20pm, so please make sure you are in the cafeteria on time.

~Because we will be walking down, please remember also to bring a coat in case it gets cold!

~In the event of rain, we will be using taxis to get from Grenfell to Cyber Zone. As such, if it is raining, please make sure you bring extra money for a cab

~Cyber Zone accepts cash and debit only, so if you need to visit an ATM, please do so before we leave
