Woods Island Tour
Time/Location: Details to be provided by Student Services
Cost: Free
Organized by: International Student Services
Details: Take a boat tour to scenic Woods Island - the last remaining pieces of resettled community just a short boat ride away from Corner Brook. This tour will provide you not only with some beautiful photo opportunities, but also a chance to learn about Newfoundland's history and geography.

Details: Take a hike on one of Corner Brook's most beautiful trails. Great for anyone interested in photography!

Details: Atlanti-Con is a weekend-long event that brings together vendors and presenters in the fields of video gaming, animé, science fiction, comic books, and more, all under one roof.  In addition to attending the event, students may opt to volunteer to help with set-up, security, navigating, or other volunteer opportunities offered by the event. For those students who do chose to volunteer, you will gain free access to all Atlanti-Con-related events during the weekend. Auditions for A Christmas Carol
Dates: Friday Sept. 19, 2014 and Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014
Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Location: 12 Maple Valley Road
 
For those of you interested in theatre and music, a local theatre company (TNL) will be holding auditions for their production of the classic A Christmas Carol. Once auditions have been completed, rehearsal will begin Oct. 1, and the show will premiere in late November. If you wish to audition for the play, you do not need to make an appointment or bring any materials, you just need to be at 12 Maple Valley Road (The TNL Building) at 7:00pm on one of the days listed above. HIV/AIDS Awareness Concert – Allison Crowe + Emma Peckford

Cost: Entry by Donation (Recommended donation ~$5)
 
The HIV/AIDS Awareness Concert is an event that is hosted in conjunction with the AIDS Walk for Life campaign. Come out and enjoy local talent, while supporting research in the search for a cure for HIV and AIDS-related health issues.

Fall Craft Fair
Date: Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014
Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Pepsi Centre (Main Box Office Entrance)
Cost: $2 Entry + cost of anything purchased at the Craft Fair
 
The annual craft fair at the Pepsi Centre is a great way to see the kinds of traditional handicrafts, art, and food that Newfoundland has to offer. The craft fair also has a number of food sampling stations and door prizes available!
 
Note: The Craft Fair will be taking place the same day as the Gorge/Pipeline Hike. If you wish to attend both, please make sure you attend the Craft Fair first, as we will be meeting at 12:00pm in the Cafeteria for our hike! :)

The Grenfell Campus Student Union is proud to present 3 Canadian bands, performing live at the Backlot on Sept. 20.  Please Note: This is a 19+ event, so photo ID will be required if you wish to attend.
