Subject to budgetary restrictions and sufficient enrolments, appointments will be made on a course by course basis and will not entail any obligation to conduct research or to perform any administrative service for Memorial University. Appointments will be made in accordance with the provisions in the MUN-LUMUN Collective Agreement. Course Title: VART 2900: Ceramic Sculpture.
Course Schedule: May 7 to June 20, 2012. Thursdays 18:00 – 20:45, Fridays 09:00 – 11:45, Saturdays 09:00 – 11:45 and 13:00 – 15:45

Course Description: VART 2900 Ceramic Sculpture is intended to give an introduction to ceramic materials, working processes, history, and contemporary practices.

Qualifications: Undergraduate teaching experience would be a benefit, working knowledge of traditional methods and contemporary issues and practices, and knowledge of safe studio practices are required. Expertise in ceramic sculpture is required. M.F.A. or equivalent combination of professional experience, education and training.

Course Title: Psychology 1001 (Introduction to Psychology) Note: Only three weeks of a six week course is available as this course will be team taught.
Course Schedule: May 7-25, 2012, Tuesday and Thursday, 1:00pm-3:30pm

Course Description: This is an on campus lecture course that will be team taught with one other instructor. Psychology 1001 Introduction to Psychology is the second course (Psychology 1000 is a pre-requisite) that is an introduction to Psychology as a biological and social science. Topics may include Intelligence and Psychological Testing, Motivation and Emotion, Human Development, Personality, Stress, Coping and Health, Psychological Disorders, Treatment of Psychological Disorders and Social Behavior
